n recent weeks, registrations for the World Skate Games Italia 2024 for the Rink Hockey discipline closed. There are 66 teams registered, the best result ever for the World Skate Games, which will represent 29 nations in the tournaments that will be organized in the city of Novara. 27 senior men’s teams registered, 19 for the Senior Women’s Championships and 20 for the Under 19 Men’s Championships. If for the senior men’s championships the record of WSG 2022 in Barcelona was equaled, for the Senior Women’s and Under 19 championships the maximum number of teams registered ever was reached, marking a new historical record for our sport.

In the first phases of the World Championship Men, Women and Intercontinental Championship Men, the teams will be divided into two groups of four teams, while the second phase will be characterized by the crossing of the teams based on the ranking of the two groups, in a Quarter Final format, Semifinal and Finals.
The Challenger Championship Men and the Intercontinental Championship Women, however, the eleven teams will be divided into two groups of 6 and 5 teams. The first phase will be an “all against all” between the teams of the individual groups, then the second phase will be the day of the finals with the clash between equal positions in the standings of the two groups.
The Intercontinental Championship Under 19 will have the same formula with the two rounds and determining the definitive ranking with the clash between the twelve teams..

According to the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Novara, Ivan De Grandis: “The sporting image of Novara continues to grow, becoming a point of reference at a national and international level. Having reached this number of registered team is a great source of pride and certifies the good work carried out so far by the Municipality and the Sports Department, shared with the Organizing Committee.
