It was a Wednesday truly full of emotions and surprises. In the most important World Championships there were the last challenges for qualifying for the second phase. Portugal and Spain won their women’s groups, winning 3-2 over Argentina and 3-0 over Italy respectively. Tomorrow there are the quarterfinals at PalaIgor (track test in the morning). At 1.30pm Portugal against Great Britain, 4.00pm Argentina-Chile, 6.30pm Italy-Colombia and at 9pm Spain-France
The men’s quarterfinals on Friday. Argentina-Andorraa at 9:00, Portugal-France 11.15, Spain-Switzerland 15:45 and Italy-Colombia 18:15. Today, Spain wins in a photo finish against Italy while Portugal is joined at the end of the match by Argentina. France and Chile first victory.
There was a lot of curiosity about the outcome of the Senior Men Intercontinental Championship. Andorra and Switzerland won their group and are now expected in the quarterfinals of the World Championship. Tomorrow at Pala Dal Lago at 11:00 with Colombia-Brazil, 13:30 Great Britain-Germany, 16:00 USA x Egypt and 18:30Chile-Australia.
In the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Germany and Brazil in Group C and Australia in Group D are on six points, while in the Challengers the teams in first position are Uguruay, Israel and Netherlands.
