Less than 100 days until what will be a real festival of sports on wheels. In fact, from 6 to 22 September 2024, the World Skate Games Italia will take place the world championship for all roller sports.
The 12 disciplines will entertain enthusiasts, beginners and the curious in a whirlwind of emotions between sport, entertainment and many collateral events. The various Italian cities (Rome, Rimini, Novara, Roccaraso, Montesilvano, Pescara, Sulmona, Chieti and Tortoreto) will be literally invaded by skaters,, world champions, protagonists of events and promotional initiatives.
Novara, which will host the roller hockey competitions, is preparing for the event and has set up its own Local Organizing Committee, chaired by the accountant Daniele Andretta (former Novara sports councillor).
Very high profile names have marked historic moments in the field of roller sports, starting with Marika Kullmann (FISR Vice President) who has been a figure skating coach since 1970: many of her athletes have been multiple Italian, European and World champions. Since 2019 she has been a meritorious FISR coach. Tommaso Colamaria (Head of FISR national roller hockey teams) was a champion of Novara Hockey in the second half of the 1980s and led the national youth roller hockey teams from 2013 to 2019. The Local Organizing Committee team also completes the entrepreneurs Marzio Liuni and Lido Beltrame.
